Boston never looked so beat down and frightened as it does here. “Oppression” is without question the theme of this Episode. Amazing how easily the Stars and Stripes can be made into something that appears so oppressive. And look at all the propaganda posters on the walls. There is a reason why you don’t see as many civilians - they’re either being put up against a wall and shot, or are hiding at home to avoid such a fate. That’s not a complaint in fact, it is one facet of the Episode’s excellent environmental storytelling: There are more civilians around, though not nearly as many as you’d normally see in the base game. While the core design of the DLC remains the same, the shift into a city environment does bring about changes. Episode 2 of the The Tyranny of King Washington moves out of the forests and into the city of Boston.
